4 Qul
The 4 Qul refers to a collection of four powerful and spiritually significant chapters (Surahs) from the Holy Quran: Surah Al-Kafirun, Surah Al-Ikhlas, Surah Al-Falaq, and Surah An-Nas. These Surahs are commonly recited for protection, purification, and seeking closeness to Allah ﷻ. Wondering how to easily remember which Surahs make up the 4 Qul? Here’s a simple tip — each of these Surahs begins with the Arabic word “Qul” (قُل), which means “Say”. This unique and repeated opening makes them easy to identify and memorize, and it’s also what gives this revered group of Surahs its name: the 4 Qul.

4 Qul for Protection:
It is narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) recited these two Surah for protection.
Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to seek protection against the evil of jinn and the evil eyes till Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Nas were revealed. After they were revealed, he took to them for seeking Allah’s protection and left everything besides them.

4 Qul and Ayat ul Kursi
The 4 Qul and Ayat al-Kursi are among the most revered and frequently recited verses in the daily spiritual practices of Muslims. Together, they offer immense protection, guidance, and blessings. While the 4 Qul — consisting of Surah Al-Kafirun, Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas — focus on affirming monotheism, seeking refuge from evil, and reinforcing faith, Ayat al-Kursi (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:255) is known as the greatest verse in the Quran, describing Allah’s supreme power and authority. Reciting them regularly, especially in the morning and evening, is a powerful way to safeguard one’s home, heart, and soul from harm and spiritual darkness.
Reciting 4 Qul
The 4 Qul Surahs can be recited at any time of the day, but they hold special virtue when recited during morning and evening adhkar (remembrances), before sleeping, and for spiritual protection. You can recite each Surah once or three times, depending on your intention. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ often recited them for protection and encouraged their regular use in daily supplications. To maximize their impact, recite them with sincerity, understanding, and reflection.
🌿 Benefits of Reciting the 4 Qul:
